Taskrabbit Introduces Robinhood Retirement Program for Taskers

SAN FRANCISCO, February 28, 2024 — Taskrabbit and Robinhood announced today the introduction of the Robinhood Retirement for Independent Workers, an initiative that will give modern-day independent workers a traditional way to invest in their futures.

The program was created by Robinhood uniquely for gig economy companies and their independent workers. Taskers who participate will receive access to a boosted match on IRA contributions and a dedicated phone hotline for all their financial questions through Greenpath Financial Wellness, helping them to maximize their savings and thoughtfully plan for their future.

Taskrabbit empowers people to own how they spend their time so they can focus on the things that matter most to them, and this partnership with Robinhood — a company founded on the belief that everyone should have access to the financial system — will continue to build on that Tasker autonomy.

With the program, Taskers will receive the following through Robinhood: 

• Easy and Personalized Onboarding: Taskrabbit will enable Taskers to directly receive access to Robinhood Retirement –  to ensure it’s a seamless experience for them to begin investing for retirement and earn their match.

• Access to Robinhood Retirement and a Boosted Match: Robinhood Retirement’s IRAs reward customers with extra money on top of every deposit. Through the program, Taskers will receive a boosted match of 2% for the first year. 

• Expert Financial Guidance via GreenPath Financial Wellness: Greenpath Financial Wellness is a trusted nonprofit that helps people reach their financial goals. Taskrabbit, Grubhub, and Gopuff’s independent workers will receive unlimited access to a dedicated phone hotline for all their financial questions.
